Refreshing marketing and communications.

I don’t pretend to be an expert. The thing I love about strategic marketing is that there is always more to learn. There are always new ideas, tools and technologies emerging to disrupt the status quo. Nothing is constant.

Nor is any industry or organisation the same. As such, I get pretty sick of the number of pseudo-experts floating around the web-o-sphere, spouting incomprehensible jargon or regurgitating third-hand content. Or the business leaders who think they know what marketing is but wouldn’t know a marketing strategy if it hit them in the face with a wet fish.

For me, marketing is about people. It is about doing everything to ensure the organisation speaks to a PERSON – whatever their role – in the right way, in the right place, and at the right time. Having started my career in hospice and health care, people will always matter to me more than anything else – and this is what makes my way of marketing my own.

Please get in touch – if you feel so inclined – I’m always happy to chat. Or, if you prefer to keep a safe distance, you can follow my daily meanderings on LinkedIn and Twitter.
