Head of Marketing

PPSS Group

August 2018 – February 2019

As Head of Marketing, I was responsible for five international body armour and protective clothing brands. This involved:

  • strategy and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns
  • day to day management of over 30 social media channels
  • content and design management of six brand websites and several external blog sites
  • design work for catalogues and digital documents and working with external agencies when outsourcing was required
  • close attention to Google page rankings and SEO
  • arranging photography and video as needed
  • building departmental communications, particularly with the sales and processing teams, and liaising closely with the Board of Directors

In my short time with PPSS Group, which gave me vital insight into the needs of a commercial business, I worked closely with the sales and product teams, and the Board of Directors to understand the different product offerings and their respective market segments. Over four months, I developed long-term strategies for the five international brands, as well as undertaking the global launch of the company’s newest brand, CutPRO and the successful redevelopment of the Cut-Tex PRO website. 

Unfortunately, the beginning of 2019 saw a change in business direction and the CEO felt that there was no longer a requirement for an in-house marketing team. This meant that I was not able to implement the strategies that I had researched and developed.
